Golf nights in Sydney, Nova Scotia
Sydney Casino Online, Golf on George
This is an independent guide to golf simulator nights at Casino Nova Scotia Sydney on George St, told the way a friend would. You get tee times, what else is inside after the round, and how your group keeps the night in budget.

When you can tee off
Every day, the bays take tee times from 11 a.m. until 3 a.m. The final booking is taken at 10 p.m. A booking runs for a minimum of 1 hour. If the bay is still free when your hour is up, a 30-minute extension can be added. Be on time: a booking is released if nobody has arrived 15 minutes after the start time.
All of these are Atlantic time, the local time in Sydney. If your round goes past midnight, it finishes early on the following calendar day, so mind the date on the booking. The casino publishes no hours for the gaming floor or the bar. Holiday hours are not published either, and 902-563-7777 is the line to call.
The fairway: does your round fit?
Pick a tee time and a length. The bays run on their own clock, Atlantic time.

- The final booking is taken at 10 p.m..
- The minimum booking is 1 hour; a 30-minute extension only if the bay is free.

Bay 1, Bay 2 and your group
Golfzon makes the simulators, which sit in two bays, Bay 1 and Bay 2. Up to 6 golfers fit in each bay, so your foursome needs only one. More than 200 courses are loaded on the system. The house supplies the clubs, so nobody coming has to bring a bag. Only the Sydney casino has these simulators; there are none in Halifax.
To reserve a bay, call 902-563-7703; bookings open as much as one month ahead. Group or corporate events use 902-563-7794. All players in the bay must be 19 or older, the age required for entry to both the casino and the golf simulators.
Ask the bag: what can you play?
Type a game or tap one. The card says whether it is in Sydney.

After the last hole
Some of your group may head to the gaming floor after the round, and some may go home. A golf night needs no gambling at all. As of April 2025, the Sydney casino had 280 slot machines and no table games, by the Nova Scotia Gaming Corporation's count. The electronic table games listed for Sydney are $3 Blackjack and $1 Roulette.
The only venue for poker and live table games is Casino Nova Scotia Halifax, which sits at 1983 Upper Water St, Halifax, phone 902-425-7777. Sydney offers neither, and no bingo, keno or sports betting appears on its pages.

Food and a drink after the round
Once the round is done, Celtic Junction Bar & Grille offers a full menu, with drinks served during regular business hours. Those hours and its location inside the building are not published. Guests who look younger than 30 need to present valid government photo ID before alcohol is served, so everyone in the group should carry it.
The Player's Club costs nothing and covers the casinos in both Halifax and Sydney. Its listed benefits include member pricing on food, though the casino notes that benefits depend on play.
Splitting the bay, keeping a limit
The guide prints no prices, and the bay rate is quoted when you book by phone at 902-563-7703. Ask for it on that call, then agree with your group how the cost is split before the night. That way nobody is doing sums at the last hole.
Anyone heading to the floor afterwards picks their own amount and stop time before the round starts. Keep that money apart from whatever was put in for the bay. When either the amount or the stop time is reached, the floor part of the night is over. Whoever skips the floor entirely has nothing extra to plan.
Split the bay, keep your limit
The rate is the one quoted when you book; this guide prints no prices.
Up to 6 golfers play in one bay, and there are 2 bays. Divide the rate quoted when you book by the number of golfers before the night. Floor money is separate: decide it, and a time to stop, at home.
The online side, kept separate
Online gambling is a separate subject from a golf night. Nova Scotia's provincially regulated option is alc.ca, which Atlantic Lottery runs on the Nova Scotia Gaming Corporation's behalf; its online casino began in July 2022. For Atlantic Lottery, any online gambling site besides alc.ca has no legal footing to operate or to advertise in Atlantic Canada. A licence issued overseas, in its view, makes no difference.
Paid links in this guide appear on the home page, and an Ad mark sits on each. Follow any of those links and you reach the same private online casino partner, unlicensed and unregistered in Nova Scotia. Neither the Casino Nova Scotia self-exclusion program nor the alc.ca breaks and limits reach that partner's site. That partner pays this guide a commission, and a different one could replace it at some point.
Help, at any hour
- Toll-free and confidential, the province's Mental Health and Addictions crisis line is 1-888-429-8167, with someone answering on all 7 days, 24 hours each day.
- Inside the main entrance, the Responsible Gambling Resource Centre at 902-563-3797 offers confidential support and information on self-exclusion.
- Both Halifax and Sydney sit under the Voluntary Self-Exclusion Program of Casino Nova Scotia, and any staff member can enrol you.
Before you tee off
- Can our group tee off at 10:30 p.m.?
- The final booking is taken at 10 p.m., so a 10:30 p.m. tee time falls after it. Tee times themselves run until 3 a.m., and the minimum booking is 1 hour. Call 902-563-7703 to set a start that fits.
- Will one bay hold all of us?
- Each bay takes up to 6 golfers, so a foursome fits with space to spare. There are two bays, Bay 1 and Bay 2, and group events go through 902-563-7794.
- Do we need to bring our own clubs?
- No need, because clubs are provided in-house. The Golfzon system has over 200 courses, so your group just picks one.
- Is there a poker game after the round?
- Not in Sydney: the casino offers neither poker nor live tables. Both are found at Casino Nova Scotia Halifax, which stands at 1983 Upper Water St, Halifax, phone 902-425-7777.
- What time does the casino floor close?
- The casino publishes no gaming-floor hours for Sydney, and no holiday hours either. Call the casino line at 902-563-7777 to check. The 3 a.m. end applies to the simulator tee times.
